25 years ago I followed my dreams to leave Ireland and pursue my passion for travel and scuba diving. I lived in Turkey, Australia, the UK, France, Switzerland and Antigua, worked on superyachts, became a dive instructor and dived on the Great Barrier Reef. I joined the military. I learnt to snowboard and owned a restaurant in the Swiss Alps. I got married in a vineyard in New Zealand and had 2 beautiful babies. Now I have followed my dreams back to Ireland to find our family home. “Dare to Dream”. Today we are meeting the gorgeous Ciara O’Halloran, musician, creative director and stylist, and Mum to two little ones. The creation of divinely beautiful images is the soul of the digital world that we live in today and I know that those apparently casual and simple images are not just snapshots….
I was in awe of my meeting with Geoffrey Healy in Wicklow. There is something magically profund about a man who believes into his craft and draws from the energy of the earth to give back to his customers.
Arran Street East are productive, current and right-now. In a world where image is everything, they have created an image for themselves and a product that backs it up. I am entirely smitten and caught up in their magic.
Kevin set up Concrete Forest Studio in 2016 embracing his Danish and Irish roots. His designs are minimalist and sophisticated. I discovered him through his Instagram feed where his images reflect his brand in architectural symphony and followers are growing rapidly as a result.
Cairenn Foy has designed her own line of children's clothes, launched and grown the business and been nominated for businesswoman of the year, whilst bringing up her two young children and a third on the way - hats off!
For someone so young, Hazel is accomplished and poised. She knows her business and today that puts her on the other side of the camera lens from where she is accustomed to be.
Aileen's creative career is on a stellar path. She made her first concrete pots for succulent plants in 2013 and started to sell them at craft fairs. A month later her designs featured on the cover of Image Interiors and Living magazine in Ireland.
Her ceramics studio sits at the top of the hill overlooking English Harbour. A gentle breeze cools as it blows through the open doors. I am surrounded by the blues of the ocean and the blues of the pottery
Every now and then you meet someone and you stand in awe of their energy and charisma that is just BIGGER. Meet Mary Wilkinson. She is one busy lady, with a natural beauty product line of her own, owning a spa, living between 2 continents and bringing up a young lady too. What can I say, but wow!
Carib Bean Coffee Company has been one of my favourite brands in Antigua since the moment I first discovered the island. Not just because they roast really delicious coffee, but also because of their creative marketing and enthusiastic growth of the business.
She admitted that the colours of the ocean run through her life from the clothes and accessories she chooses to the clean and simple décor in her homes in Antigua and Palma. I noticed that it sparkles even in her eyes!
Caroline Fabre has written 8 books, from novels to children's books and recipe collections. Her latest The Magnificent Mango is a Caribbean culinary offering that satisfies the most discerning of palates.
I'm so excited to meet you", I said, possibly unnecessarily, but most evidently. Naydene is light, bright and gorgeous, like her paintings that explode out from your walls with a vivacity that asks you to stop and look closer at the layers of collage and colour that are her signature style.
November can be such a gloomy month with short days and chilly winds blowing, but I snapped these pictures on various outings to remind myself of the intrinsic beauty of nature at all times of the year.
We moved to Louth. A week later, I could give myself a pat on the back to say well done and celebrate my own power. Now it was time to rebuild our lives again, to start over in a new place: making friends and finding things to do
It is all too easy for me to dream of greener grass and to hunt it down. It has been my pattern for years. A life lived in colour has always been my motto. Yet I have had doubts and worries in every place.
I find it really helpful to remind myself daily why I chose to move back to Ireland. This keeps me motivated on the days when I doubt the decision, or start to dream about moving somewhere else, or when I fear the winter coming.
Naively, we looked at three schools only before we moved back, and a fourth upon our return. I thought that we had covered all options - the local Roman Catholic national school, the local community national school (non-denominational or all denominational), the local Church of Ireland national school and the local private fee paying school.
I bet you never thought you'd hear me say that about winter! Especially when I have just come from two years living in the tropics, the first winter inevitably should be tortuous.
Yet, I have this thing with frosty, crunchy leaves underfoot.
I am driven mad by chaos and chaotic with trying to do it all.

One of our absolutely favourite places to go is Ardgillan Castle near Skerries in north Co. Dublin. It is one of those places that ticks the box for everyone.
Shades of green, white and black dominate in the London home of stylist Liza Giles and architect husband Matt Giles. With such strong genes in design it is no wonder that this pair have created such a dramatic and thought through collection. This striking home caught my eye with the simple colour palette and wonderful use of texture around those colours.
I absolutely love Sunday mornings. There is something magical about the prospect of having nothing looming on the horizon. Obviously this sin’t always the case
I discovered these images and was instantly enchanted by the magic of this modern vintage home. I am a huge fan of bold colour and patterns.
A modern Victorian way to keep your linen closet looking gorgeous and super organized!
Yet, there is a need for a reading nook, a hygge place, a cosy corner ....
Powerscourt Estate in Co. Wicklow, voted in the top 10 houses in the world by the Lonely Planet and 3rd garden in the world by the National Geographic sits in the magnificent Wicklow mountains just south of Dublin in Ireland.
Hidden in the corner of the Phoenix Park in Dublin sits the magnificent Farmleigh House, once home to the Guinness family and now state owned.
