Table Cloths Ireland - Avocado, Raspberry and Cloud

I’m excited to share these absolutely gorgeous new colours in our linen table cloth range here in Ireland. Think clouds, raspberries and avocadoes - what could be better!

Years ago when I started out as a stewardess on superyachts, I had a lot to learn and nowhere really to look for advice apart from asking others and making it up myself. I had to create a new setting for every meal, ensuring the guests were continually delighted by decor and food.

I built up a portfolio of designs – seven breakfasts, seven dinners, floral centrepiece ideas, shells and stones. Avocadoes, artichokes and limes make useful centrepieces and decorations, not only because they are waste free but also the chef usually has a few in the galley at a pinch. I used every opportunity ashore to look for unusual items that would spark conversation and make the table pretty.

My favourite magazine was Vogue Entertaining and Travel, that has now long since passed away. Transported forwards to the worlds of Pinterest and Instagram and we are flooded with ideas and inspiration these days, but when you truly want to create, you need to look at your own space and see what works for you.

The best advice I received was to start with a colour and build from there, layers of linens, vases, florals, decorative elements and perfection in the functionality. Are there the correct cutlery, glassware, condiments? Are the decorations low so that the guests can see each other?

Hence, these designs are special to me - not only capturing the nature of Ireland, but adding sophisticated colours and a creating a set that will complete the look - table runner and napkins with a contrasting pure linen table cloth. You need only add cutlery and glassware for a dazzling decor!
