So I Say Yay for May!

These are just a few beautiful things to do in May, and special dates to remember in May 2022.

  • Celebrate 1st May - May Day - in the Bealtane tradition by inviting friends over early morning to wash their faces in the dawn dew (and follow with champagne breakfast and eggs benedict of course!)

  • Flower full moon on 16th May - this year is a very special Blood moon also - there is a full lunar eclipse due around 5.30am in Ireland, and the moon is predicted to turn red as it reflects the sunrises and sunsets all over the world.

  • 19th - 29th International Literature Festival Dublin - for a full listing of events, see here International Literature Festival Dublin.

  • Book a holiday! - I really feel like one is due this year ….

  • Eat asparagus dipped in boiled eggs - the asparagus season is short, so revel in these green batons, perfectly paired with dippy eggs.

  • Visit the Modern Art Gallery and have a picnic in the park

  • Plant window boxes

  • Go for a Bluebell Walk! A great place to see these in Balieboro in Cavan.
